Upon arrival at Christchurch Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your accommodation. Once settled, ease into the journey with a gentle walk through central Christchurch, discovering a city where historic architecture, contemporary design and lively public spaces sit side by side.

The evening is yours to rest, explore or simply recover from the journey.

Travel north along the coast to spectacular Kaikōura, where snow-capped mountains rise dramatically behind the Pacific Ocean.

Then head offshore for one of the journey’s great wildlife encounters: a whale-watching cruise through waters renowned for year-round sperm whale sightings, with the possibility of encountering dolphins, orcas and other marine life.

Begin beside the sea with a relaxed coastal walk to see New Zealand fur seals resting among the rocks and shoreline.

Continue north through the Marlborough region before swapping four wheels for two. Cycle through riverbeds and vineyard landscapes framed by mountains.

As evening arrives, experience something more personal: dinner with a local Kiwi family in Motueka.

Travel to Kaiteriteri and board a water taxi into Abel Tasman National Park, watching the coastline unfold from the water and keeping an eye out for dolphins along the way.

Step ashore and continue on foot through a landscape of golden beaches, native forest and brilliantly clear water.

It is a day for slowing down, walking and simply being surrounded by one of New Zealand’s most beautiful coastal environments.

Leave the northern coast behind and journey into New Zealand’s remote West Coast.

Stop at Hokitika Gorge, where vivid turquoise water cuts through native forest and rugged rock formations.

Later, move from observing New Zealand culture to experiencing it through a Māori carving workshop. Learn traditional techniques used to work materials such as bone, pounamu or shell, drawing upon practices passed through generations.

Travel south into glacier country and arrive at Franz Josef, where ancient ice descends towards temperate rainforest.

Choose how you would like to encounter the landscape: take to the skies on a scenic helicopter flight and glacier landing, or remain on the ground for a hike through rainforest and valley landscapes.

Later, trade ice for still water at Lake Ōkārito. Kayak through a secluded lagoon surrounded by wetlands, native rainforest and the Southern Alps, in an area rich with native birdlife.

Today the road itself becomes part of the experience.

Travel east through Arthur’s Pass, stopping for short walks amongst alpine landscapes, native forest and dramatic mountain scenery.

Continue towards Castle Hill, where enormous limestone formations rise unexpectedly from the surrounding landscape. Wander among these extraordinary natural sculptures before spending your final evening surrounded by the Southern Alps.

Return to Christchurch for one final experience: a leisurely punt through the Botanic Gardens along the Avon River.

After some time to enjoy Christchurch, transfer to the airport for your flight home to Singapore.

The landscapes may disappear beneath the clouds.
